Low tech approach: Glue short length of soft rubber tubing onto the edge of the grille in the corner where the bonnet corner sits. Needs to be the soft rubber type, or a pad of neoprene etc. Done neatly it doesnt look bad and protects the bonnet / reduces any potential for rattles etc. Check the bonnet suppport bobbins are correctly adjusted (to give nice flush bonnet shut line) at the same time.

is the hinge failing ? ie: is the bolt coming unbonded from the bonnet? The design is crap but it is cheap to fix.

cheers snorky,

I was flying down the coutry roads today [beatutiful sunshine BTW] and wondering the same thing.

how do I tell if I need to replace the bonnet fixings?

& if they fail, is it a VV ugly experience?
