the tops in reasonable condition but could do with a water proofing and some colour, its blue.

Renovo seem to do a blue dye any one used it and what were the results, is there anything better out there to use.

cheers

Pop round this week, and I'll give you an unopened tin of thompsons water seal to keep, you can even use my brushes I'll need to borrow it back for a few days at some point as I need to do my own roof before I sell up

Ive read/asked around and Thompsons is definitely better than renovo (from what Ive been told by people that used both) when it comes to water proofing!

Its not a die, but will make the top look newer too, renewing life and colour (not as drastically as the die) without changing the colour - Ive got a brush you can use to clean the roof before you start (ie any cigarette ash etc you might have picked up trailing behind a certain V8S on Sunday )

I coloured and water proofed my roof about 4 days ago with Reveno. Its black but same thing really.
The colour made it look better and covered the minor marks that were there, making it look newer and a better colour/finish.

That bit was easy to do.

The water proofer was a PITA. It's very runny and gets everywhere, running off the roof and over the car constantly.

The roof is now much newer looking and water tight.

Just don’t do what I did..........
I took the hard section of roof out to do the rear section of hood and flicked the colour on to the passenger seat.
Its a big job to get it off again !

I have just received my Renovo products today (which i only ordered a couple of days ago!). I have a navy blue roof which is looking a bit grey at present.

I've got the kit with the dark blue colour restorer. Plan to work on the roof Saturday and will take plenty of pics so you can see the difference.
