Vinyl seat recovering

Been looking at getting a repair done to my seat as the drivers seat has a hole in the front where the side joins the front, a local place has said that bits vinyl so is a easy repair. I thought Tvr only used leather, they also have given me a price to recover both seats in vinyl. Has anyone gone for vinyl instead of leather for there seats ??

Seats came in Vinyl, half leather and full leather, it depended on the customer ordered.

Personally I'd avoid doing the facings in vinyl as it can get a bit sweaty in the summer.

I can't say it never happened (TVR being what TVR was), but standard spec. was for leather seat facings including headrest, or 'half hide' as it was called by TVR. Certainly in 97 onwards.
Full hide being quite a lot extra for no appreciable gain in resale value.
