Please help,

The drivers door has started to squeek on the bottom hinge (I think). No matter how much WD40 I spray around here IT STILL SQUEEKS!!! ARRH!!

Am I going to have to take the door panel off and spray (pour) inside around the hinge.

Please help as it sounds as though I'm opening the door of a knackered old fiat or something :

Cheers
Darren

Darren

There's was a similar post to this the other day - this was my reply:

"When I had my Cerbera my drivers door developed a dreadful grinding sound when it was opened and closed. I couldn't actually see anything wrong but checked all the bolts for tightness. Noise got worse and worse and didn't seem to respond to any lubrication until I used some light grease in an aerosl can (Halfords). Didn't at first cure the noise but when I got in the car the next day the noise had disappeared and never returned - obviously needed overnight to think about it."

I had the squeak for about a week and it got worse and worse. WD40 didn't work but the spray grease - yellow can from Halfords - did the trick overnight. Good luck.

You probably don't need to take the door panel off. Once you've got the speaker removed there should be enough room to get your arm in and grease the joint. If you can't get your arm in there's no way you're going to be able to get the door panel off

What you need is silicon lube. Comes in a spray tim like WD40 but will not attract dust and grit.

probably not this but just check the squeak isnt the door edge rubbing against the bodywork somewhere. All the new Tamoras suffer from this until the doors are re-ground(!) TVR's...you gotta love them......
