Alternative rear drop links

Are these the drop links that can be used to replace the factory originals?

You need to have your ARB bent in 30mm on each side for them to articulate properly. Also, I paid about a tenner less on Ebay.

Even if you do get some wear in the Levens, the rose joints can be replaced and being stainless, they won't corrode

I wouldn't suggest you do it yourself. Take it to a local fabricator. It will cost you about £25 for them to do it. They'll mark it out on a table so they can keep equal bends, heat it and then bend. All you have to do is repaint, refit and then use the Mondeo drop links. Quite an easy job and they're always cheap to replace if necessary.

Ok thanks, looking at the design i cant see why its not possible to make your own using a £5 stainless rose joint and some threaded bar. The rubber protection boots for the joint are also available.

The point of the Mondeo ones are that they are as cheap as chips and do the job.

I've had Steve Heath and Levens and they all wear after some time, that's the nature of rose joints.

Here they are again prior to the chassis freshen up.

They do take a pounding on any car especially if they are strained on installing. I change them for a pastime on the families cars!

AlexDaredevils priced some self made droplinks. They looked the business, but still more expensive than the Mondeo mod.

I like the idea of the mondeo mod but does the heating of the anti roll bar weaken it to some extent?

I went for the replacements supplied by Racing Green. Right part for the job and easy fit for the sake of twenty quid

My metalworker used a bending machine and bent it cold.

The standard 19mm one bent easily on the machine, the updated 23mm was tougher!

Macdeb, I got the new style Racing Green front drop links and they were a bugger to get on. I think in need the Accord droplinks on the front. The RG are similar in articulation to the Civic ones at the front, only longer.
