Alarm sensitivity...

By alarm.

My Chim's outside with a cover on. The wind gets under the cover and shakes the car. And the alarm goes off.

Can I reduce the sensitivity to shaking?

Bought a cover from Argos and as soon as I put it on then set the alarm it goes off...

I had the very same prob, I had the alarm wound back so the sensitivity was as low as possible but it didnt solve the problem.
Could I ask is it the original alarm as mine was??

Due to another prob I had a new alarm fitted under warranty and since then no prob what so ever.

You can disable the microwave sensor when setting the alarm. Well you can with the Meta ones anyway.

Thanks one and all. Its the original alarm so sounds like I won't be able to desensitise it enough.

I'll just have to turn it off when its windy.

Not that anyone will be able to steal it until I get that new alternator!
