I just realised I got the r version instead of the b7ecs...whats the difference?

The R stands for resistor. The resistor reduces interference with other electrical cevices in the car.

R means that they have a resistor.

You don't need these as you should be running resister extenders .

Buy standard RV8 plugs ,you don`t need race plugs.

Okay but as I got these for 12 quid from euro car parts, I just want to check that it will fix my misfires, they will do for that until i get the normal ones?

Try them, but as Phazed said, the extendors already have resistors in them, so you're doubling the inline resistance.

If they are BPR7ES, they'll be fine regardless of whether the shrouds are resistive or not. The OEM ones were but many aftermarket ones are not. No biggie whatever on a normal motor

Every TVR plug Ive seen on a 7 grade appears to run too cold and soot up accordingly- so Im with Daz on the 6 grade.

Alright thanks, well it didn't manage to start yet with them in! Dizzy cap next and new rotor...if there not, then lord knows i'm throwing it away

From experience with bikes.........some ignition systems won't start or might start and misfire if used with resister plugs and not designed for them.
