This is more like it. I had an Overfinch RR and it did 8mpg... Sounded great but not enough petrol stations on a journey to keep it going!

That's why my daily is a nice old ML, 25-30mpg all day long.

We've got a 5.5 litre petrol ML that averages 18 MPG doinh quite a bit of driving around town, 21-22 on a run with no trouble at all. When you take into account the petrol/diesel price differential, it's not too bad.

How much is the engine worth ,its only done just over 30k . Would it need a different cam and re map if still on the old 14cux ?

You could buy it swop the engines over and re sell he car .

It could be a 400bhp monster in a TVR

There is a Holland and Holland Range Rover in my village with a 5.0V8. It isn't original according to the bloke that has it but it has purple rocker covers which makes me think it is an ex-TVR engine. It goes well, that's for certain.

It was probably fitted at the Old Power,i remember being up there and they were fitting a TVR engine to a Range Rover which was headed for South Africa for the MD of Land Rover out there

If the ECU has had the full Mark Adams 'touch', 21mpg is possible. His mapping can achieve great combined power and economy. Mech Repair rolling road guys in Cheltenham really do know what they're doing...though as with all power claims I'd want to see the performance data as 382bhp seems a little enthusiastic. All in all, this bus seems very good value for money.
