New owner - First 36 hours of ownership

Those who saw my other thread asking for advice will know that I am now the very proud owner of this car.
This was for sale with a dealer and with the power of the internets I managed to track down the previous owner Jules who I had a good chat with him before speaking to the dealer. Jules was a massive help and put my mind at rest over a few things. I went to view the car and the dealer Tom was very helpful and straight forward. I got the impression he was very honest and an enthusiast more than a salesman. In fact Jules did a far better job selling me the car.
First impressions were good, the car is very tidy and a credit to Jules and the former owners. Only a few minor marks affect the body which a touch up will have it looking near perfect. The interior tells a similar story, almost spotless. Some bits and pieces coming unglued but over all remarkably tidy. Mileage shows 29k although the earliest MOT 2006 shows only 12k. I find this quite hard to believe with 6 previous owners but the condition of the car and how tightly it drives makes me think this could well be right.
I had a good poke around the chassis and even though it needs some urgent TLC (outer corners of the outriggers) it looks solid and so a good rub down and paint should see it in good order for some time to come.
Jules has had an ACT decat pipe installed and some cherry bomb type exhausts but has left the precats in. It sounds bloody awesome no other words for it, THE best sounding car on the road (apart from all the other TVRs of course!). There were lots of people slowing down and pulling in behind me on the motorway to have a look and listen. I have never smiled so much in a car in my life.
It starts perfectly hot or cold, pulls well and drives spot on. It doesn't leak any oil (new drive and fussy wife means this is a very good thing) and it doesn't even seem to leak any water in to the cabin.
I have done 250 miles in it now and don't ever want to get out. Even my wife absolutely adores it already and I have caught her on several occasions going for a peak of it on the drive!

Matter of interest can you tell me what the colour of the car is in the log book, and what is stamped on the plaque in the engine bay as a colour referance,just looks similar to the colour of this car,but the colours i have for mine dont seem right?

Cheers Tom, the alarm situation was a bit embarrassing. The neighbours curtains were twitching with the glorious sound of the v8 arriving at home. I imagine most were having kittens after the alarm had been going off for an hour! Glad your happy & glad you managed to get hold of Jules to sort the Alarm

Well done and welcome to the mad house.
Are you keeping it in a garage or on the drive? If the latter, avoid full covers (they flap about and mark the paint), instead look out for a Leven half cover. They fit neatly over the roof and windows, clip to the wing mirrors, and small flaps slot into the boot and bonnet to hold them fully secure.
They pop up from time to time on PH Classifieds or on the Bay of the Flea. They are nice and heavy, don't flap about, and fix securely. They also cover all the main bits where water gets into the cabin. Don't believe yours won't leak - it will!
