Seeking standard driveshafts

Anybody got a spare or 2 in the garage?
Will pay a fair price in beer tokens.

I want to try out a treatment on a pair and see how they fair at the dragstrip.
Also ive ran out of spares and it makes me feel better having 1 in the boot at the drag strip.

Cryogenics.
Quite cheap. Claim upto 40% stronger.
Some claim its all nonsense but i know people who have tried it with success.

Worth a try Derek. I read a feature about it a while back, Fast Ford I think. People do gearbox internals, engine bits and bobs and all sorts. From what I read and heard it works a treat.

You going to be knocking on the doors of a 9-second pass this year?

I chopped them up mate to get an accurate measurement on my diff as I had to make new brackets.

9.99 ain't that far away from 10.5, just .51 of a second, easy peasy Just fit that blower you had a picture of, chuck a load more gas down its neck and Robert's your mother's brother

If it were that easy.
It took me a whole season of running low 12's before i got my first 11 then suddenly ran 11.7
The step up to a 10 from there took a lot of work.

I am sure there are plenty guys on here know how hard it is to shave the odd tenth off let alone a full second.

All part of the fun. I love it.

I can't even fathom how hard it is and I'm aware that in all motorsports just a tenth or even hundredth of a second is a hell of a long time.

I've got some from a Tuscan. The ends are the same but not sure on the length. I'll measure them tomorrow if you're interested and get back to you.

Was chatting a few weeks ago to the old boy who owns the garage just down the road from me - he has a lovingly restored 1950s Humber Hawk and drives it regularly around the local roads. He just happened to mention that, back in the day, he had done a 9.9 in this.....



.....before retiring because it was getting too expensive to chase the extra tenths. Backs up what you said, Derek. Apparently there was a big block Ford engine under there when he did the time.....

I have used cryo on lots of components over the years.
They even do speaker wires as its meant to sound betterer!!
