Had to have my beloved recovered with the indignity of being bought home on the back of a truck .Got to work with a multimeter seems I have no 12volt power on the trigger wire at the starter,now have to determine if its damaged or if the immobiliser problem has raised its ugly head again,i presume the trigger wire goes directly to the immobiliser unit behind the radio panel,would dearly love to bypass this ,just want to turn key and the to car start that would be a novelty.Have emailed one of guys here no reply as yet any help appreciated.regards cold wet in Hampshire.

Its a process of elimination with faults like these but lack of voltage at the solenoid terminal it does sound like an immobiliser relay issue.
What year is the car?

Mines a 96. Has it the new front end door buttons near hood and fiesta lights as 96 was the cross over.

Fair enough that these TVRs are known to have immobiliser issues, but I don't see why that's everyones default suspicion. Is the fuel pump priming? I'd always take a look at the ignition switch first if it ever happened to me.

Might sound silly but thump the bottom of the dash on the passenger side quite hard upwards, the immob is there and it cured mine once or twice till I ran a separate feed to the solenoid myself

my car is a 96 pre crossover the fuel pump does prime I have done all the tests with a multimeter so i am pretty sure the immobiliser is the issue, as for thumping the dash this is just a quickfix and has not worked for me,thanks for emails chimpongas,ianwayne for info on bypass hoping to try this on Saturday ,missing the noise already
