where can i buy an alarm sensor for under bonnet?

just been doing a bit of work under the bonnet and noticed the alarm sensor has sheared off its mount, the magnet part is still ok but the part on inner wing is in 2 bits, seems it could be an easy fix if I can find the right part to screw on !

What alarm is that attached to then, I haven't got anything under the bonnet

I thought it was part of the TVR loom .Its a cobra so i guess ill try them cheers

Any alarm microswitch should replace it if you just cut and soldier the wires, you'll only need a cobra one if you want to swap the entire wire back to the box. Cut the wires, arm the alarm and then touch the two wire ends to set the alarm off and make sure that it's just a normal switch.

You were right its not a TVR item , its a clifford 8601 switch must have been lying in the fitters toolbox!
Just trying to find a clifford dealer that does mail order otherwise its £12 on ebay usa then i can lock the car again!

£12 plus £26 postage You're mental paying that for what is just a magnetic reed switch

The only reason that they've used one of those is because it's all fiberglass there so they had no metal panel to drill into and earth a normal switch. Have a search through caravan alarm parts, but it is basically just the switches that I've linked to above. The only important factor on what one to get is whether it's an open or closed action (whether it makes or breaks the circuit when the bonnet is open)
