My dad bought the car 14 years ago and sold it when I turned 17 (spoil sport). The car showed up 18 months ago on my estate and October last year when I was walking the dog I saw the owner and agreed to buy it back. So after a long wait I got the car last weekend. She's in a road worthy but sorry state so today I have started re commissioning the car... I wish I hadn't of bothered lol.
As you can see my dad made some made mistakes over a decade ago so I have spent the day trying to put them right. I have a set of smoked lights for the back, I have removed the reflective stickers from the indicator surrounds, made a nice stainless mesh grill and started to remove the paint from the rubber trim (who paints rubber?) so I have spent most if the day today working and got no where. I have a few other cars, an escort gti which I built a few years back, an audi tt 225 which is my daily and a 32 ford pick up fibreglass replica. And I'm building a split screen campervan with a friend.

I spent 18 months on the body work of the van, it's not perfect but it's impressive given the equipment we have and the place we did it. It's going to be a used van so it isn't concourse it's practical. I painted it in the make shift lean to but it's come up ax well as using a booth believe it it not. It's going to be running a 1.9 Peugeot Dturbo engine.
So today we have been out and started on a few more jobs, it's slow cranking so we have tested the battery and found that to be poor, tidied up some of the wiring and removed the charger cables that were fitted by a previous owner. Removed the horrid Lexus lights and fitted smoked lights. What is used around the out side lens as a seal as it has perished.

Welcome, normally use Sikaflex windscreen stuff to seal the rear lights

Fancy plates do the rear for £30 and the pair for £40, just change the drop down menu to TVR backlit..
