Got me first Tvr !!

Firstly Thanks to all those who told me what to look for before i parted with the cash!!
Thanks also to Adrian Blyth's , the Car was serviced and was handed over to me last thursday, and after a nervy start to the drive, made it home 145 miles, not a problem, couldnt stop smilling, still am.
The Chimaera is Techno Violet,a BMW Colour, fSH all
stamped in the service book,with a good file of previous purchases etc. Cant wait for better weather, its rained every day since i got it back.
PS If the previous owner reads this , the interior is , well immaculate, cheers bloke.

Congratulations on the purchase, not sure if you'll remember but I was the one you beat in order to get it, I was going to view a day or so after you put down your deposit.
Picked up my first Chim today as well, a Trophy Blue 97P 4.0. Absolutely loved the drive home (120 miles from Derbyshire) even though I was taking it so easy.
Very weird though as every bump and rattle just seems so out of place having come from a 'normal' car to one of these.
Like you I'm now just waiting for the decent weather to get aquainted properly with my new best mate...

Glad you got what you were looking for too.
I was the same was listening out for all sorts of things, but hey, nothing beat the sound of the exhaust eh!!.
I Must admit, never went over 70 all the way back,didnt want any points on the first drive, The M25 was chocka to the M40 with speed restrictions, felt a little lumpy under 3000 rpm, but above this
woooww, smooth as silk.After driving a 1.8 mg zs for the last 2 years she's a rocket ship.

Yeah congrats to you both, I am also a very new owner and desperate for the good weather to arrive! The combination of poor weather and getting ready to move house have kept me out of the driver's seat but remedied that last week.

Even though I consider myself a fairly good driver and try and strike tha balance between just enjoying the car and flooring it at every opportunity, but I did spin the wheels when I pulled away and then shimmied up the road. So be careful when you have laid off even for a few days, but enjoy!!!

Special order colour, it's a BMW colour so not that many. As you probably know when you spec a TVR new you could have any colour you wanted.

Mine's an Audi colour.

Have to agree with a few comments and say your colour scheme is fantastic, really stands out from the hundreds of green, burgundy and dark blue blue Chims on the roads, saying that mine is blue so can't be that bad.
I was the same as you not doing much more than 70 in places I'd have taken my old Prelude up to the ton, I did open her up a little on the A1M though, just to make sure the accelerator actually worked. but with wet roads and rain I wasn't going to push it, this being my first sports car.
Best thing is seeing everyone in towns etc. turning to look at whats coming. May have to find an excuse for a quick spin (not literally) tonight after work.
Best of luck with your new baby anyway, I'll be in Worcestor for a weekend next month so if you're anywhere near there I'll keep an eye out for you.

Agree with the comment on the Techno Violet it is stunning. My BMW M3 was this colour & if I was to opt for e re-spray that would be high on list of possible colours.

The colour reference and name are often written in the handbook, including details of the leather colour, and carpet reference. Thought mine was just Grey until i read the handbook and discovered it is 'Grey Starmist'.....

Take it steady (especially while you're getting to know the car - I'm on my second TVR and have just become suitably familiar with it after four months!), remember slow in fast out, be patient with the car, the conditions, other traffic.

Keep on top of servicing and maintenance generally

Try a Ride Drive course
