Anyone had Dave Macs? I need some clarification

Keith at Dave Mac driveshafts has expressed a concern that my dimensions conflict.
I measured the spare shaft i have at a total of 475mm but the dimension between the hub and BTR diff flanges is only 465mm
He says they should be similar within a few mm.

Can anyone throw any light onto this before i give the go ahead to have them made at 475?

The flanges have a concave central area don't they? I'd have thought distance between circlip grooves (or the inner terminations of the splined extents) would be more determinative of correct overall length, no?

As Pupp says, it's the inner measurements that count. Though the shafts used for GKN are longer overall yet they seem to work on BTR diffs' [having the space in the wheel and diff' hubs to accommodate]. The BTR diff' cars shaft length is shorter.
