Its a reflex purple....but in Plastidip, as I needed a respray after mending a little sprint day damage, and couldn't afford a full respray. It looks purple from some angles and blue from others

Sprayed on still? Is it the stuff that you can peel off when you decide you've had enough of it?

Yes, that's it. Mine was one of the more expensive ones, being a reflex colour and with a bit of sheen to it too, and cost £700 for the whole car. About 5 coats of black primer, followed by two of the reflex colour. One day for all the spraying, a second day to allow it to harden. The only tricky bit is the mirrors, as they have to come off to be sprayed (which is a pain in itself) and it can be quite tricky to get them back on again without damaging the platsidip.

I saw it being applied to a Sagaris and contacted the guy who owns the Sag, as he also does the spraying. If you have the kit you can spray it yourself, but I don't, and he clearly has a lot of skill and knowledge with the stuff. www.matt-pack.co.uk

Ask me in three months time, not done enough with it yet.
He said to be careful not to catch the edges, and said it would take him just 90 minutes to completely strip the plastidip off a car.I have quite frankly treated the car as normal, and have had no such issues.
It so far has seemed to be pretty stone chip resistant and door chip in car parks resistant.
My 3 year old granddaughter ran her finger nail along the rear wing and marked it slightly, and it is very easy to damage it on the mirrors if you are rough adjusting their position.
No marking where the wheels would throw stones up, so I would say I am pretty pleased with it.

You can wash it as normal, then rinse it, but you don't leather it - micro-fibre cloth instead. I don't even do that, as I am lucky enough to live in a soft water area, so the rinse hosing doesn't leave marks. I believe in wash, rinse, so go for a spin.....

No waxing it, and you cannot get a shine, it is a fairly matt finish, even with glossifier. They supply a spray you can spray when micro-fibering, which works a bit like Rainex.

One further point to mention - the guy who did mine only sprays the exterior surfaces, so does not go into the door/boot/bonnet areas etc. But he has blended it in quite nicely at those points. But then I have changed from Starmist Blue, so not too many shades different.
