New Owner

Another one joins the fold. A friend of mine is selling his 1994 4.0 l with 66k on the clock. Given the price, I thought I should take the opportunity. I'm not new to TVRs having previously owned a Cerbera.

Will need a bit of work over the coming months, but that's half the fun.

Given that it's an old car it has some plastic bits that I would prefer to be aluminium. I live quite near Leven (in Essex), but I don't think they do the dial surrounds. Also, I was thinking of getting a new steering wheel. If you have any suggestions, I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction

I think the clutch is on its way out, so no doubt I'll be back!

Re the wheel, I went for the Momo Fighter wood & leather, with Momo boss kit.

IMHO it's much better than the standard black 'personal' wheel that doesn't match anything in the cockpit unless you have black leather.

It's starmist blue (the numerous stone chips were thrown in for free! ), with magnolia leather and a wood dash.

Mines Cosmos Blue with magnolia leather, it has wood wheel (same as Corins) and an ally dash and looks great. Will post a pic when I get my home PC back (bloody hard drives!!)

Same spec as mine, except my leather is 'biscuit' which is slightly darker.

The good thing is that you can sleep easy at night assured that your car is the colour that God intended TVRs to be.

This colour debate seems to be universal in the world of TVR. I bought a blue Cerbera and it appeared that I was in the majority on the debate (although by accident). I have to admit though, it is a good colour

The car has been advertised on Pistonheads for 8 (and a bit) k, but managed to get it for much less. Service history is missing a stamp, but due to him having the car looked at regularly by a local guy who knows what he's doing, so he never bothered. Just been MOT'd.(I'll take it somewhere to get the stamp in the book at some point). Clutch is definitely on the way out, but other than that, couldn't resist the bargain.

I've just had a new clutch, £801 all in which included new master cylinders and a drive belt.

I'd been wondering in the back of my mind whether the first large bill would wipe the smile off my face... it didn't
