Hi all,
Are there any common areas for coolant leaks? I have it dripping off the nearside front of the chassis rail and I will be damned if I can find it.
It has recently had a new rad and water pump fitted and it was leaking from the bottom hose on the water pump but I put a new jubliee clip on and this now appears to be dry. I cant see it leaking from any obvious joint that would have been disturbed during the work so I am thinking it is sneaking down from an area I cant see from underneath.

Tighen all the hoses. Possibly dripping down the underside of the swirl-pot, so look at the hose from the stat housing and from the pot to the rad. It may also be worth checking the small expansion tank hose for split near the jubilee clip.Are there any common areas for coolant leaks? Steve Heath used to do a coolant system leak detector that fitted where the swirl pot cap goes. Then use a foot pump to pressurise the system with the engine cold.
I found my leak easier to find then.
I don't know if someone near you has one or whether you can still get them.
