Replacing Rear Light Lens

I want to replace my rear lens on the Chim with a clear version.
The current lens on the car is too dark.
The guy who sprayed the car, thought he'd match the tint on my rear view window.
(The rear view window however adjusts it's tint to suit the amount off light).
Now it's really hard for other drivers to see my car from a distance.
Anyone attempted this before ?
If you look closely, you'll see I have the lexus lights installed which already have quite a small drive & brakes lights.

I just replaced mine as I cracked one. Not half as dark as yours. I would describe them as lightly smoked!. They were £98 from Peninsula including shipping so not something you want to mess up. They required significant trimming to fit and the black band round the edge needs painting on. Make sure you use a proper compound like Betafill to glue them in with as silicone does not stick well to smooth surfaces.
The most awkward task was removing the old rubber mastic having cut the old ones out without wrecking the paint work. Actually mine nearly fell out as they must have been short of mastic when it was built!!!

Yeah, the material of the rear window, gets lighter as the light from the sun gets brighter.
It's not a tinted rear window.
Seems to amaze other Chim owners that have seen it.
The dealers are selling this:
Right side Rear Cover: 47.00 + vat
Left side Rear Cover: 34.99 + vat
Eh???
Why different prices.
Am gonna have to go to the breakers.
Apart from Valley, which other breakers are there for Tiv's in the South East ?
Am in Surrey.
As for cutting it out, the current sealant is quite soft, so I guess getting it off will not be a problem.
It's getting the new ones on thats scaring me, as I do not want to damage the paint work.
