I have adjusted my windows as per previous posts, but cannot align them parallel with the roof seal - there is a gap at the back end of 2-3mm when the front is hard up against the seal. Burrowing inside the door there seems to be two options:-
1) Loosen the horizontal carrier at the base of the window (the alloy strip that slides on the drive runner)
2) Add or remove washers from the rear track mounting point at the top rear of the door.

I am concerned that doing one without the other will cause the window to bind in its tracks.

Anyone tried this, or should I just stick with my towel??

I had a go at moving my rearframe, made the window move very slowly and didnt help at all. Its now back where it was originally. With similar gap to yours. Im gonna leave it with a small gap. It dosent leak and you cant notice when walking past, just sat inside. Plus it helps with the ventilattion when a bit hot.

if the window is hard up at the front and not at the back then you need to put some washers between the frame and the inner door skin/glassed in nut with the bolt going through them. The bolt had come out of mine and I found it in the botton of my door after much searching, in addition i found a number of washers, which when used with the bolt got the alignment right. Hope this helps

I have managed to get a good seal on both drivers side and passengers side so that their are no leaks between the targa top rubber seals and the window top. It does take rather alot of time and fine tuning to get it right however. Its worth it though because if you dont the leaks will give you that mouldy smell and can rot the carpets which can be expensive to replace.
