Optimate Not working, help required.

I have an Optimate II installed in the boot. It powers up OK but only the LED for the power comes on, none of the others so it would appear it is not charging.

Are they connected straight to the battery terminals? Just need some pointers on where to start. I can see where the wires comes into the passenger footwell so that's a start.

Is your battery completely flat?

My charger won't kick in unless the battery has some power in it.

Might be a poor connection ,the fleabay 2 meter extension is poor quality ,it takes a wiggle to get it to connect .

New battery last year, had to jump it today and went for a 40 min drive to charge it up. Plugged the charger in but no other LEDS came on.

Just had this with the hardwired C-Tec on my Tuscan.
Bought a new charger - - still nothing on the led "charging phase display". Got the multi-meter out and found that, somehow, there was a break in the wire between the charger in the boot to the battery terminals. I can't understand it either - the wires run along the cill under the carpet on the passenger side, hardly likely to be 'stressed' .

Had to replace said wiring....now all joy!
