Last Chimp had heated seat that hardly ever worked (and when they occasionally did, it was always the passenger one!). Same thing on this one - well passengers always works drivers never.
IS there a common thing that fails / to look for to keep my arse warm in these conditions?
Yep happened on mine as well. Pax side ok, drivers side kaput! one of the heating elements in the seat swab had burnt out, so it had to be replaced. swab £25 from TVR, fitting £40 at local trimmers.
Jonny the heating element form tvr is 25 quid - not the swab (part of the seat base / side), fiitine element or refitting swab? Coul I do it it I could get the element?
If one was to get the seats of his tiv re-trimmed how difficult would it be to source and fit heating elements to them .
Only ask as the eurobox has them but the Tiv doesn't . I quite often think these would be nice to have in the Tiv for those could winter roof down blats.
Sorry, yes the element is £25 from TVR the £40 was to fit a new element to the seat. The only problem is knowing which element you need, base or back. I replaced both.
Cheers - I think I'll get both when I get car back from it engine swap - but will be warmer then so, most likely have forgotten about it then. Witout it for a while now...
