Windscreen Replacement

Has anyone used one of the standard insurance companies preferred windscreen fitters. I have just had a crack appear in my Windscreen after a couple of stones being thrown from up lorries on the way to work that other day. Are they any good ?. i have just contacted my insurance company and the say that i have to use them, if they are unable to replace it, they will look at a specialist to replace it. Do i forget it and go straight to the specialist and take the hit for the windscreen.

I've had one done by AutoWindscreens, ring the insurance approved place up and they will soon say if they actually even want to do it, most places have an 'expert' that does all the 'flash' stuff and it's usually done on site at their premisies and not 'mobile'.
