Keep stepper or use Bosch PWM with after market ECU?
Discussion
I dont have any on mine either. As said a little lumpy for the first few mjnutes and then its perfect.
Most aftermarket ecu's have the ability to automatically increase the ignition advance at idle to help with the cold idle. this is enough with the rover. Its one less problematic thing to worry about.

Rotary idle valves are more reliable and it is in fact the stepper motor that is the later technology I would have an idle valve over a stepper any day
for instance BMW's and VAG stuff run for hundreds of thousands of miles with none of the cleaning b
k's necessary
they can still go faulty (hanging idle speeds) but IMO much less so, and it frees up more terminals for outputs etc
