Tweeter Install Pics

Hi guys,

My old (standard) OEM speakers have started to pack in. So, I'm debating what to upgrade to, and thinking of installing some half decent components with separate tweeters.

Has anyone done this before?

Any thoughts on where to locate the tweeters?

Finally, do you think this is a bad idea?
Personally, I don't mind mild changes / modifications, as long as the look like they were meant to be there...

Removing the ashtrays if you have them (or in the same area anyway if you don't) would be a possible place. I think others have done this.

My tweeters are in the door card just above the main speaker. They are probably too big to go where the ashtrays are but I do have the car with me to check.

Need to make sure any wires do not foul on the window mechanism.

These would be the ones to fit. Genuine 6 inch fit. Bit expensive but should sound good!
