Started shunting after a bit of a lay up?

Hi All

Life has just been too busy lately so the chimaera has been neglected and left in the garage. At last I had some time today to go for a drive, boy have I missed it
Anyway, the car has also had some shunting, I"ve got used to it, however since the lay up it is worse than before, any gear at all revs if you try and keep to a constant speed i.e. constant revs.

Any ideas? Looked for an air leak nothing obvious, and leads all seem ok.

The fuel pump has also got alot noisy, going to replace this, could this be causing the shunting?

How long was it laid up for and how old is the fuel?
A noisy fuel pump could mean it's on it's way out.

If the battery has been disconnected or gone flat the ECU will have to re learn its fuel trim settings. It takes about 2 1/2 mins at 90+ 'C at idle. It wont set in other conditions or when the car is being driven.

Only laid up for 3 months. Fuel was fairly low so I filled up the tank this afternoon, this hasn"t made sny difference unfortunately.

It was connected to a trickle charger so the ECU should be ok?

Any other suggeetions welcome
