Stepper Motor removal

Numpty questions: What size spanner for stepper motor removal please? Any gasket or sealant required on refitting?

32mm or 1 1/4 inch 'old school'. You don't really need sealant, although I used a bit of ptfe tape on mine.

Mine has a cardboard gasket but I'm not sure it's really needed. They are generally air-tight before the thread bottoms out. Don't do up too tight, you can shear them. Finger tight then a nip was enough for mine.

Couple of wraps of ptfe tape this end, this also helps prevent over tightening....
