After 3 years I've tried to start the car for the first time. New battery fitted central locking and alarm seems to be fine. The only light that is working on the dash is the alarm/immobiliser one. Car turns over but I'm not hearing the relays clicking at all or the fuel pump prime. None of the dials or radio seem to be working either and all the fuses seem to be ok. Thanks, Scott
I would check in the footwell wiring again. In some cars there is an 80A inline fuse (black box about 2 inches long) which would give the symptoms you describe. It sounds like you''ve lost a main feed from the batter so assuming the terminals are tight on the battery you need to trace the cables and see where the feed is broken
If the car is fitted with the meta alarm, do mind that system has it's own battery within the siren.
If that battery has died during 3years of hibernation, I wouldn't be suprised it doesn't only refuse to disarm the immobiliser, but it can also drain the main battery very quickly.
Siren is located under the passenger side headlight. Even when unplugged your immobiliser will refuse to do anything.
I suggest you contact a Meta specialist and explain what's happened.

Thanks for all the replies.....I've taken all the fuses out and cleaned them, same with the relays. I've now got everything working on the dash as it should be. Luckily my parents new house where the car is stored has a pit so I cleaned the earth points near the steering column and I found that the 100 amp fuse has a crack in it as well so that'll need replacing. I ended up taking a live from the battery to the fuel pump and hey presto! It fired up but sounded very lumpy so it looks like the 2 bosch relays will need replacing. Car is a '96 so I think it has a Foxgaurd alarm iirc.
My car wouldn't start in Monday as fuel pump wouldn't prime. It would turn over fine but no fuel to engine.
I put a multimeter to fuel pump and no power getting there.
All fuses were fine.
Ordered 2 new relays, delivered today, fitted in 30 seconds and all works fine now.
