Racing Reds - anyone using these on a Chimaera?

1. What spring rates are you using?
2. How many clicks front and rear are you using for road use
3. Ditto, but for track use
4. How do you ind them?

They are a budget Nitron and not made anymore because they were so popular . Nitron sales were dropping .

I have Racing Reds, but unfortunately cant find the paperwork to remind me of the spring rates.

I know that I wanted a ride suitable for touring rather than trackdays and requested fairly soft spring rates. I was persuaded to go stiffer, and the advise was correct as the ride is still comfortable.

I've got them fitted Anthony. 400lb front springs, 325lb rears. They were fitted when I bought the car and set as follows: Fronts 22 clicks, Rears 27 clicks. I've since increased the fronts to 24 clicks and although it sounds like the front/rear balance should be wrong it does seem to work on the road like this (Mat Smith had a drive on the road with this set up and seemed to like it as well!) For the track I just wind the fronts up all the way (or a couple of clicks short) but haven't had much track time since understanding the car better, and modifying it.

Thanks Richard - that's the info I needed. Mine were only fitted a month ago, and only fitted on right wheels on Monday. Confusion arising from talking to te previos owner, who had them on a Tamora last.
I have 425/350 springwise, so similar in weight and ratio to you, and had started with 18/18 up from soft, so I will try a little bit stiffer, though 18/18 feels pretty good. Like you, I always crank the fronts right up on track to reduce front end diving under hard braking, and will do on these.

Confirm Richard858's spring rates but I'm running mine at closer and softer settings:front 18 back from the stop, rears 20 back from the stop although I harden them up when 'er indoors isn't in the passenger seat.Changing tyres also had an effect on the settings; harder with the Toyos and softer with my old SO3's.
I've had them on for 15k miles and can't fault them.

Just to be clear, the confusion was my fault, I didn't ask the right question first time. Once I had, and had taken the car on track, my mistake became clear.

I had a problem with mine early on (with in a year of purchase)
The company I bought them from had gone bust, so I got in touch with them direct they were very helpful
I went to some where in Oxford? where they changed them FOC No problems.
Part of the comment really I had the wrong shocks, they were off a Cerb and valved different to a Chim but looked the same !
Also I believe they could be valved to owners spec or supplier spec so could be different as well as spring rates
