Battery - Page 1 - Chimaera

Early Chims have a smaller battery tray, I know this as I bought a 072 and it would not fit. I think they changed to the larger 072 fairly early in production though.

For the same money you can get an 096 which fits in the battery box (just)

Just 'phone Tayna up...numbers on website.

The folks there know what they are talking about.....the dimensions they quote for each battery are exact.
So, just get the dims for your tray - simples!

Id always try to go for quality such as a varta which ive always found to be very good. Physical size is no indication of quality so check the cca and ah ratings are ok.

If you do phone up to check sizing, make sure you also tell them which way round the battery terminals are. When I changed mine the battery place got an 072 out of the stores, and discovered the terminals were the wrong way round. I had to have an 073, same size, terminals reversed.

Exactly, the Varta E44 (096) @ 780 CCA and 77ah pretty much qualifies the Chimaera as a hybrid!
