new discs and pads

Having new dimpled/grooved discs and Mintex 1144 pads fitted next week.
Simple question, how long will these take to bed in? (Please no discussion about make etc etc etc, my mind is made up!)
I have a track day at Goodwood a week later so im hoping thats enough time! Its about a 2 1/2 hour drive to the circuit.

About 50-100 mile braking progressively harder should do it, I always found because the discs are grooved break-in happens more rapidly anyways

Mine bedded in similarly quickly and gave so much more bite on braking than plain disks.

How are these on the road? I've used grooved discs before on a bm, and they were pretty noisy in use.
Will need to replace mine sometime soon, and looking for best street use discs and pads

Mine are Black Diamond 324mm (Focus RS) 12 groove disks, with Hawk racing pads, just to be clear. No noise whatsoever on the road .

On track no noise either, you just feel the bite of the grooves when you brake hard.

My TVR guy was surprised how much I had worn the disks in 8 months, but I have turned into someone who brakes really late and really hard on track, as I find it sets the car up better for the corner.

I've had my hi-spec four pot kit on for two weeks and just about to purchase ferodo pads as the squeal from mid-light use on the mintex is horrific, nothing seems to stop it short of stamping on the pedal.

Bizarrely the garage fitting it went <sharp intake of breath> ooooo mintex, we stopped using these in the late naughties when they squealed like mad on scoobs and eve's, sadly it appears there right. Coming off next week.
