I know we don't buy these cars for economy but I was very please with my mpg yesterday. Filled up in Green St Green, Kent then down to the M25, junction 5 clockwise, round and up the M40 to Silverstone to watch the Britcar 24hr race. (Brilliant day!) Journey speeds were generally 70 and 80 leptons with the obligatory road works and diversions on the A43 near Silverstone.
Two parade laps around Silverstone at the regulation 35mph (cough-80!) and then fives miles back out of Silverstone in the evening where I filled up for the journey home. Did the sums and obtained a figure of 27 mpg. Not bad from a 450!!!
Weather on the way home was diabolical with rain on the M1 the likes of which I have rarely seen. Flippers and gills sprouted. Didn't miss a beat all day. Who says TVRs are unreliable? Come on....
