Hidden switches

Hello
I've got a w reg 450 and I have a small rocker switch behind the carpet in the boot adj near side lights. Its behind the carpet that would normally be stuck down and not the removable section over the lights.
Also on the right hand side of the steering wheel, above your right knee, if I look up there is a small black box, 4” x 2” approx. with a silver type toggle switch?
Anyone any ideas what these switches are for?

First thought on the one above your knee is a fan over-ride switch. Start the car, bonnet open, and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply nut no its not a fan over ride switch, its on a small blabk box / module. More like an alarm type of thing
