Drivers side heater vent...

Hi, quick question - if I may.

My drivers side heater vent doesn't really blow, it kind of ebs heat, but no real blowing is happening.

I've read that the pipe can become dislodged... and have tried to have a look but I can't even see a pipe!

Should I be able to trace the heater pipe without removing things - or do I have to remove the center or something ? Perhaps I'm just blind... could somebody describe it to me please?

Do you mean the vent at the end of the dash? if so this should be fed by a round corrugated hose (similar to old hoover hose) which should be visible if you poke your head under the dash and look around the steering column. The vent prises out of the dash quite easily and should be attached to said hose with some cloth type tape, or possibly not which may be the problem.


If you meant the vent some have under the dash at the top of the tunnel, you will need to take the radio out to locate what is up with this one.

Cheers - it's the far right hand one, I was expecting to see some corrugated vacuum hose but... didn't.

Think I'll pry out and push back and see what moves / changes

Will Keep my eyes on this post as mine is the same and has been since I've owned it.

Middle vents and passenger side plenty of power but the drivers side is just a trickle.

Mine too.i think some models had a booster fan in the line. Thought about doing something like this to mine.

On some Chimaeras this vent is fed by the second blower that only does this and the drivers footwell. The knob is under the dash above the drivers right knee.

In this case it only does cold.
