Which coil and amp

I've got an engine from a chimaera 4.0HC 1995 with a distributor that has a 2 pin socket on the side. I'm missing the coil and ignition amp together with the cable and sockets leading to the distributor.
The previous engine was tuned and had coil packs and i suspect the cable was stripped out due to being not needed.
I've tried to do some research but have become confused with various items, ie; 2 or 3 pin, ballast coils, pre amps, lucas or bosch, etc. Can anyone give me the definitive answer as to which items I need and where to get them from?
The distributor has the following label; 35DM8 ERR5209. There is no wiring in the loom for a connecting lead from the amp to the dizzy.
Where can I get information regarding wiring diagrams for the installation. it has the the land rover ecu with a Tornado chip in it, I think.
I've bought the car (westfield!) as a project and as stated the items are missing.

I think powerspark have the bits you need. The link wire from the amp to the dizzy I believe is this part:

Bearing in mind it's missing from my setup, I am pleased to see a photo of what it should look like. Has your dizzy got a 2 pin connecter and the amp a 3 pin connector? If so is there a 3 pin to 2 pin converter lead, as mentioned in the previous post? Or is everything connected up with just 2 pins?

The converter lead presumedly fits on the end of the loom where it connects to the amp. Unfortunately I don't have that part of the loom. What I need, I think, is both the converter lead and the original lead that plugs into the 2 pin dizzy plug.
Does the 3 to 2 pin converter come fitted as standard on the chimaera or is the original amp a 2 pin outlet? I'm trying to avoid moving the coil and amp to the other end of the engine bay and hence having to extend the whole of the loom to that point.
Is just a matter of buying the converter lead and extending it to the dizzy(light bulb moment perhaps!). That length would be about 80cm?
Would I also need to source a lead from the amp to the coil? How is the amp physically located?
Sorry about all of the very dull questions but I'm thinking out loud which is making it even more disjointed.

That's correct 2 pin dizzy and a 3 pin amp I'm not sure about the 3 pin to 2 pin lead as I'm now running a Canems ecu
And these are some of the parts left over from the ecu upgrade as I I don't run a dizzy any more .

amp is physically located on a bracket shared with the coil on the TVR setup

My amp is a 3 pin variant and the cable goes down to 2 pins for the distributor, I think you could make it work as you say by making that cable long enough.

The distance from the dizzy to the coil/amp is about a foot no more.

I can try and get some pictures if thats any help of how mine looks in situ?

The lead you quoted originally I think is the amp to coil connection as per the photo in one of the previous posts. Ideally I need a lead with a 3 pin plug to the ignition amp,on the other end a 2 pin plug connecting to my dizzy which has a matching oval 2 pin plug clipped to the side of the dizzy. There are some leads that push fit into the body of the dizzy and that maybe is what you have. My dizzy doesn't have that facility. All very frustrating. I'm trying to avoid buying a new distributor just to match the ignition amp!

What I need you to do for me is, first cut your loom apart to strip out the lead going from the old ignition amp leading to your old dizzy. When you've done that I need you to post the amp/coil combo, together with the stripped out lead, to my home address. That's not too much to ask is it????
Ok, it is. But that's the lead I'm struggling to find cos the previous owner did what you did and went all coil packs and fancy ecu. By the way, was it worth doing it and how much?

Giving them a ring as they installed a new loom with the Canems ecu, they could probably make u one up 01985988082
And yes it was worth the money the car drives so nice now 4ltr supercharged and 363 BHP happy with that
