My chims been knocking from the back recently so I booked it in at fernhurst next week, I thought I'd have a poke around as it was quiet today and discovered the above.
Both rear arms have split on the inside adjuster, I knew the arms were fairly tatty and was planning on getting them changed in the winter but this changes things...

Question is as these are being done should I get the uppers changed as well? And what about diff bushes, are they more accessible if the arms are off the car?
Thanks chaps.

Edited to add, looking on the parts sites it looks like the adjuster and wishbone holder are available separately, so it doesn't need to be as bad, but I'm tempted just to do it all anyway..... Opinions welcome.

Where's the split? Can you mark it on the pic?

Never heard of that happening.

If that is genuinely split then the car shouldn't be driven.

Are you sure thats a split. It just looks like its where the adjuster meets the threaded bar. Two seperate parts.

I may well be wrong, I know little compared to a lot of you guys.
Looking at the pictures again it might well be the two separate parts, I don't know....

As suggested it looks as if its just cracked the paint at the point where the adjuster is supposed to turn against the wishbone.

^^^^ What he said.
The clonking is more likely to be worn bushes, be they for the suspension arms, diff, anti-roll bar or dampers. Could possibly be cracked ARB brackets.
