I should know this, but where is my battery...? Is it under drivers or passenger seat and have i got any chance at all of clipping my jump leads on!???

Its in the passenger footwell. Slide in there and pull back the carpet to reveal a box containing the battery.

To remove the box, you'll have to undo the 13mm bolts on the underside of the car.

Not easy to jump start, probably better to push start it (not recommended if its totally flat and your alternators new, so I'm told) or whip it out and charge it.

It's behind the front panel in the passenger foot well.

ok, i've had breakdown out to look at the car. They put a jump box on it and it started however, when the jump lead fell off the connector the car stopped. The guy reackons its my alternator. Problem is now that the battery is still dead and i cant lock to car! Any suggestions very welcome! How can i relock the car without power?

Don't think you can, as all the locking solenoids and electrically operated!

Check the fuse. Seems everybodies is going at the moment...

Leven do a lead kit thingumy… connects to the starter (IIRC) and gives you a jump start plug… oh and a set of leads to jump start the car.. Saves you playing hunt the battery.

I see from your profile it's a 94 car, if you have the key holes these still work, just not on central locking mode, you have to lock each door on its own Just turn the key 90 degrees in the hole and each door will be locked regardless of the battery
