Broken wiper motor bolt

As the title says, I have sheared one of the bolts on the saddle that holds down the wiper motor and I am struggling to see how it could be replaced, I have removed the inspection cover on the near side inner wing but still can't reach the bolt or perhaps stud?
Any ideas on how to remove the remains and fix a new bolt/stud?

drill it out and use a rivnut/threaded insert if you cant get to the back of it.
Only issue is the kits are quite expensive, unless someone local to you has one.

I used a brolly anchor type plasterboard fixing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-x-Brolly-Anchor-for-P... it worked ok for me.
