Hi all, don't know if this has been covered before but it could be cause for concern. While I had my steering column surround off I noticed these guys had fallen out of there holes (they go in the "D" shaped holes) and are supposed to stop the steering wheel tilt at full up position. One of the plastic bits was sitting rubbing on the streering UJ which is sort of a spherical fork and blade affair and it was starting to get chewed up. Not sure if they could actually jam up the steering but even if it got a bit tighter for a moment while driving I imagine it could have you in the hedges. not to mention what one of the steel washers could do. I was going to make some more out of nylon but have decided I don't want the possibility of this happening again so I think I'll leave them out.
