Apologies in advance if daft questions - 4.3 BV

Hi All,

I've a couple of questions if I may regarding the 1993 4.3 BV. I want to get it back to it's original spec as it left the factory , not interested in finding lots more horses, but would like to have it as nature (TVR) intended. My questions are :

1. Was the BV ECU mapped differently from the 4.3 standard and from the 4.0. My car has had a replacement ECU at some point - it is the 14 UCX ? . Would the route of installing a mark adams tornado chip mimic to the same extent what TVR had done on the BV original ECU

2. I know my car is the 4.3 and all the info says it is a Big Valve but I have some paper work that it was re-fitted with a 4.0 camshaft later in life, the invoice has reference to a camshaft part number with 51 in the reference. Would a 4.o cam work on the 4.3 ? I've read that the BV was given the 214 cam , but not sure if this is correct. My only thinking is that would an owner have asked for a 4.o cam to sort out load speed / around town driving / shunting issues ?

I would shoot Dom at TVR-Power an email. He will certainly know and will probably be able to supply cam and chip.
