My first TVR!!!

Hello all,

Today I have fulfilled an ambition of twenty years!I am now the very proud owner of a 1996 TVR Chimaera. ( Pics to follow).

I am based in North Wales and am aware there is a local TVR group which I will be attending.

I am looking for any help/ advice on local suppliers and garages etc where I will be able to order parts and have any required work done to my car.

Welcome, similar to me with the 20 year dream.

Had mine 4 weeks now! Lots of niggly things done already on mine. Check rubber fuel hoses in engine bay. Mine were cracking, so changed them out. They sit right above the exhaust manifold. Not the best combination. Easy enough job, but fiddly.

Otherwise lots of knowledgeable chaps on here and the Chimaera owners Facebook page.

Welcome to the fold Chris, might get over to North Wales myself a few times after the summer as daughter is at Bangor uni.
I'm sure you'll get some frustrations along the way with your new pride & joy and it does help to know one end of a spanner from the other, but the joys of driving and ownership far, far outweigh any problems you may encounter. It's all good, solid, classic British motoring at it's best !

I drove mine every second I could for at least 12 months and still didn't tire of the feelings,,

There's not many cars I can remember owning, the first drive home is still clearly imprinted on my brain, huge respect, tickle the throttle,, heart rate jumps,,,,
Cruising and just Looking around me at the exciting interior, the clocks, the dash,the fine Steering wheel,
The driving position,,,,, and another thing that really struck me was the raised bonnet and lovely curve it produces right at the bottom of your eye line,,, enjoy and let your imagination go wild,,,, be steady with the right foot until you've got used to it, well done mate

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm loving my car and prepared to do the fixing and repairs as and when required! I'll be joining the club this weekend and hope to pop on down to Ruthin this month to meet the local owners/ enthusiasts.
I'll pop some photo's up soon and look forward to putting some miles on her clock this summer!
