Knocking sound from diff

Morning,
I've noticed a knocking/clunk from my diff (at least from that area) when coming onto the power, especially after having just changed gear. Under normal acceleration its fine, with this noise only occuring when power is initially applied especially after a gear change. Is this normal or should I be getting worried? I only purchased it 3 weeks ago and its the only one I've driven so have nothing to compare it to.

A possible cause is that the bolts holding the diff in place are lose/have fallen out - happened to me, cheap to fix, just get her to a garage.

... as long as you get to it before they have knocked the diff housing to bits.

Just so as I don't have too many sleepless nights I've booked it onto the ramp at Offords for Saturday so they can take a proper look and hopefully put my mind at rest. Probably just me imagining things as the car was inspected by Rob Ingleby and test driven by Offords at its service on Friday.
