Squeak from front passenger wheel????

I picked my chim up from hexham today and on the way home the front passenger wheel developed a squeak. It almost sounds Like a tapping noise and happens even when I brake.
Sound like a stone in the brake pad?

I've just had some work on the lower suspension at hexham horseless carriages so don't think it's that.

Stone in the tyre tread or a nail/screw?
Try driving slowly - does the tapping frequency reduce and increase with speed?
If it went when braking could have been a wheel bearing.

Get into a big quiet car park and go steadily around in a big circle in both directions. If it's a wheel bearing you'll hear the noise as you go round in one direction.

If you can gear the noise only when going round clockwise and it's the near side bearing.
Going around anti clockwise and it's the drivers side bearing.

But knackered bearings are usually a grinding not tapping noise, and Paul (FFG) made a good call with the nail or screw.

I thought it might have been a stone or nail Also bit I've checked the tyres and there's nothing I can see.
The noise happens at low speeds and even if I'm
Turning left right or driving straight.
The guys at hexham did replace the lower wishbones on both sides so not sure if it's something to do with that?
Maybe an idea to call them tomorrow.

I had a "queak, queak, queak" noise from one corner a while back. We had put the rear brakes back together in a hurry and had got the little spring (wear sensor?) that fits on the pads slightly in the wrong place, so that it was catching with every revolution of the wheel.
Drove me mad.....

Have you got rose jointed drop links fitted to your car, if yes, they can go dry and cause a squeaking noise
