Amazing MPG! (maybe not)

Having had two great days at Shuttleworth & Millbrook I thought I must have used up a a whole tank of fuel.

But glancing at the fuel gauge half way through Sunday it still read full; how can that be. Obviously the fuel gauge or sender has packed up or wiring lose.
Whilst at Millbrook I tried removing and reconnecting the sender wires to see if there were any bad connections but this didn't change much.

Can anybody help with ideas?

Does it actually go to zero when you key off?

Yes it goes to zero, and the depending on which wire you remove from the sender it also goes to zero and the LED come of an on.

I would be looking at the sender - probably stuck in the full position due to fuel surging

If that is the case, then a thump of the back or top of the fuel tank may solve the problem.
