Nitron shocks, owners views please

Evening chaps,
I'm considering some Nitron shocks as sold by Powers etc.
There not cheap so I'd just like to hear what a few owners who have gone from standard or Gaz shocks etc to Nitrons and what difference if any they made.
I'm interested in views for road rate springs rather than the much harder road/race sprung set ups.
I have Gaz Golds with a fairly hard spring rate and their ok on tracks but very harsh over bumps on the road
I'd like the Nitrons to perform well on the road so what sort of spring rate do you guys consider to work well at a fair speed but give good manners around town etc.
Ive just been considering this some more,

I have found that you can achieve a lot by suitable use of the adjusters. My springs are reasonably stiff, to be suitable for track use, but softening the dampers right off to nearly soft makes mine fine for road use. I found that true of both the GGPs and the Racing Reds I now have, the latter giving the better overall drive of the two.

These Nitrons are supposed to be another step up,
Hey does anyone know if Gaz gold springs would fit straight onto Gaz mono dampers?
My golds are almost new can't be 2000 miles on them, get some monos and maybe have a choice of springs.

400/375 but I can't be sure about the rears without looking.

I'm thinking of a long cruise, Europe maybe, I want a docile soft car for such a trip, my cars pretty tight and nothing rattles but bumps have me cringing,,maybe I need softer tyres too, I'm on a road compound a

I had nitrons fitted to my Chimaera, with whatever the standard springs were, can't remember, didn't like them. No good at all for just road use, may be ok on tracks. Already fitted to my Griff when I bought it.
Get Bilsteins, just my experiences, no doubt people will come on with you had wrong springs, should have turned this, turned that, was the geometry right etc etc
If anyone asks why I got them I'd had an absolute nightmare with 5 sets of *** and at the time Bilsteins had a crap warranty, 6 months if I remember.

I have considered going back to Billies,
I drive slowly on the roads, ok I might blast up this straight or that but basically I don't drive the car with anger at all on the roads, I will use my car on a daily basis on town roads as often as having a drive out, I'm vehicle sympathetic so I can't have the car crashing over bumps in the road, it's just not good for the car.
I have two good front Billies somewhere,,,, maybe I should buy some second hand rears in good nick and give them ago.
I do enjoy the lack of pitch a hard setting gives to the car and less body role but essentially I'm after a compliant ride!

Interesting Gruff, road manners, our wishbone configuration is old school and doesn't lend itself to bumpy town roads, you also have the longer chassis which must help, the Chims shorter wheel base is more of an issue when trying to eliminate the nodding dog effect,
I've now been in a number of Tvr's with various suspension set ups and all were reasonably stiff but actually complied with bumps well, mine on the shocks I'm using feels harsh.

He does a nice set of Pro Tech two way adjustable dampers.
I previously ran a set of standard Pro Tech single adjust and they were great on the road with 400/325 springs. Not good for the track as they can't take the heat generated by track work and loose their damping.
I tried a pair of standard Nitrons and wasn't impressed by them, too harsh for the road.
Don't even think about the pro 46 mm dampers.
My Gaz Monos with 450 front and 400 rear feel good on the road with minimal damping and good on the track with increased damping.
Happy to give you a spin on road settings.

The T cars are more upright hence lower spring rates.
It's all to do with the angle of the dangle…………….
