Solid Cam - Valve lash question

So I got my Kent cams M238 tother day.

Found the valve lash setting on the card - 0.55mm

Didn't say whether it was measured hot or cold so I emailed Kent just to check. Was expecting "yes sir that's for hot" and got told that 0.55mm was the cold setting.

I've read a fair bit on solid cams from loads of different manufacturers and have never ever heard of them being set cold and left.......


What to do???

My solid was set by Rob, (V8D).

I don't know what he did but mine is coming up for an adjust, I'll ask him.

Hmm I've normally put 8thou / .2mm cold on carefully assembled engines with roller rockers.

I can never see how you can set them evenly hot as the engine has gone from hot to cold long before you can adjust 16 evenly Just check one quickly when hot and scale that down to your cold settings..
