Chimaera - Weird Problem with Doors Unlocking on Their Own

I bought a '96 Chimaera two weeks ago which has a 'Selca' immobiliser with remote central locking off the fobs that come with it.

I initially thought I was going mad as a couple of times the car was open when I was sure I'd locked it. I've subsequently locked the car, checked the doors are locked but then by the morning they have unlocked themselves again.

I am going to try disconnecting the battery and check the interior light tomorrow if it has unlocked itself again, but does anyone else have experience of this or able to offer an explanation of what the problem is.

If the boot isn't shut properly, or one door is half closed (i.e. on the latch), it may not actually lock in the first place.

Another possibility is that the micro-switches in the door sills may have failed, so that the car does not think the doors are closed.
