Under Wing Mirror Door Buttons

This is beginning to bug me, the colour of the wing mirror door buttons on every picture I see of a Chimaera or Cerbera seem to be a milky white colour - mine are black!

Anyone got an answer as to why this is.

Was it made on a Friday? Probably all they had left in the bin.

Mine are black, maybe they went a bit crazy and ordered different colours now and again.

Wonder if anyones got a black one on one side and a milky on the other.

The milky white bit is a silicon cover for the black button. I guess it's there to try keeping out the elements.

The milky white thingy is a little plastic cap protecting the actual switch from water ingress. You lost or maybe never had the plastic caps and therefore the switch is exposed. Your dealer should be able to get them, you just push them over the switch. I would get them as it will counteract corrosion of the switch. Maybe there an original TVR part, in which case a 100 quid should sort you out , maybe it's some standard thing in which case 50p does the trick .
