As we're all talking about wing mirrors. Whis is it that I have to press my drivers side button 3 times before it opens? It makes all the right noises every time but only opens the door on the 3rd press!?!? Passanger side is fine.

Not if it's making all the noises, surely?

I'd have thought noise meant a moving mechanism, perhaps just not moving enough?

hasnt the solinoid got a little pastic hoop on the end that a rod sits in. If thats broken, then the solinoid will be working still but maybe not activating the rod every time.. just a thought.

It might be worth having a poke around in the door mechanism chamber to see whether you can gather any clues as to what the problem might be.

Access is via velcroed carpet behind the door pillar. There are also pictures in the Bible so you can compare and contrast...

Sounds like your door has dropped on the hinge .. a small drop will cause the latch to sit too firmly on the retainer and therefore the door will not swing open. Try gently pressing on the door as you press the release ... or lifting it at the bottom ... if the door swings open then you have found the fault.
