OK, I give up. Air Filter..

After years of taking Roobarb (Chimaera 5L) to various garages to be serviced I decided to save some cash do it myself..
Doing well until I got to the air intake filter... I have the bible, I have looked on TVRCC, I have tried ( but mostly failed ) to search on here too. No where can I find instructions on what to do.
OK, so I'm guessing its located behind the front grill, but am loathed to remove it on the off chance it isn't. ( they're a bugger to put back on ) I'm sure its been done 1000s of times before so has anyone got any advice please ? Also I got a replacement filter from TVR Parts, a genuine OEM apparently. Does anyone know if I need to oil it, if so what oil ?

Remove front grille. Find air filter sticking through front bulkhead on the driver side, in front of radiator.

Basically on the other end of that long tube running down the length of the engine bay from the air mass meter.

Ah, thanks. So the reason I can't find any instructions is because its so shockingly simple...
So I'm guessing what, 2 mins removing grill, 2 mins replacing filter, 7 hours replacing grill.

Indeed, a fiddly job. I am sure there are better ways - Anyone??, but always end up using a fork from the kitchen drawer. Put one side in the rubber then bend the other side in as much as you can get in and work around with a fork pulling the rubber over.

Ah no sorry, it's wrong even here as with LHD cars the whole lot is a mirror image of the proper RHD item It's passenger side, on the right when standing/kneeling/laying in front of the car.

Move along, nothing to see here...

A '97 car with a grille? I thought they were face-lifted by then.

Someone in the past removed the filter on mine but must have left attached the jubilee clip so it gouged the paint on the way out. I noticed this just before driving away from Fernies on purchase day.
